True to the style of other Samsung touchscreen phones, it uses the TouchWiz interface. This interface is very much like that appropriated in the Samsung Tocco Ultra, except for how the Tocco Lite interface's resistive touchscreen means that one has to press one's fingers on the screen hard in order to effect anything.

The Tocco Lite comes with the new feature of the user being able to choose from one of three different homescreens; and one can customise these homescreens according to personal preferences. One may also be quick to note that the contacts list means that you can flick through photos, rather than just names, as you search for a specific contact to contact. One new feature is gesture lock; this involves being able to open applications as you unlock the device by simply drawing an alphabet letter on the screen.
Besides being able to use the Samsung S5230 Tocco Lite for normal mobile phone purposes and the communication of audio files, picture files, and video files by wireless connection, it comes with an onboard camera - a 3.2 megapixel camera with all the common Samsung camera goodies that include face detection and smile detection; but there is no autofocus for this particular product. The included WAP browser means that web browsing is comfortable and easy. The speakerphone is something to exploit to aid ease in communication. One would be well advised to take into account that while the camera produces clear photos, and does this especially well outdoors, there is a noticeable amount of noise when taking pictures indoors.
