Samsung D800 is the latest slider phone on the block. Coming from the house of international electronic giants Samsung, D800 simply redefines the term class. The glossy black surface of my handset is textured with Magnesium and the edges are coated with chrome. The moment I laid my hands on it, I knew that I'm not going to let this go handset go until and unless something rally tempting comes up my alley!

It integrates a 1.3 Megapixel camera that is well complemented by the rather large QVGA TFT LCD screen. The 240x320 pixel screen is capable of supporting 262k colours. The pictures that I clicked yesterday of my grandma actually made her look a couple of decades younger!! But jokes apart, the integrated 1.3 MP camera is certainly not the best camera mobile phone available in the market but with my budget D800 was the best thing I could lay my hands on, and to tell you the truth I am not regretting it a bit!

Now let's discuss something about its music player and it is just too good. Since the day I've bought it my plans to save for buying an iPod as gone for a toss! I felt so bad when I discovered that it doesn't have an expandable memory but once I played Vertigo (U2 of course) on it I knew it is something exceptional. Its 80MB internal memory is just about enough to let me carry me playlist. I'd have loved it if the bosses at Samsung had taken the call to put an external memory slot in the D800 but you can't have everything going for you!

The wireless connectivity is taken care by the cool Bluetooth device that helped me to transfer a hot JLo picture from my pal Benny's handset (he wields a Samsung D520)! The whole transaction was just so very smooth! I was flaunting it moments after the data transfer began. It just took few moments to get the hang of the whole system and after that I was downloading songs, pictures, screen savers, games and what not! Right now there is so much of web content in my handset that I guess its resale value has shot up (at least I hope so)! I'm planning to gift this to my sweetheart on this Valentine's Day but I will gift wrap the Pink Samsung D800 for her. This I'm sure is going to bring a BIG smile on her face. After all everyone appreciates quality and as far as I'm concerned, Samsung D800 defines it.
